Dark Advances: ‘Affect Aliens’ and Revolutionary Despair
6 August - 10 September 2022
Motto Books, Berlin
HOLE:OPEN is a sonic meditation collage featuring a non-descript narrator acknowledging and accepting a not-so-distant future in which a black hole—caused by human-accelerated climate change—expands in the middle of planet earth. As they make their descent into the void, they reflect on life as they knew it and question their fate ahead.
This work was produced and exhibited as part of the group exhibition Dark Advances: ‘Affect Aliens’ and Revolutionary Despair. It was later aired live on Movement Radio, Athens.
