dub2techno is a sonic scrapbook tracing the lineage of western techno music through early innovations and experiments in Jamaican dub. The audio commission for Montez Press radio touches upon the legacy of the Maroons, Rastafari/nyabinghi drumming cultures, Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, Black Ark Studio/fx culture and dub poetry. 

This is the first stage in research on the sonic development of dub towards techno.
